The committee exists to provide administrative and social support to the swimmers and consist of parents who volunteer their time. The committee assists with all aspects of the club administration including welcoming new members, processing club competition entries, reporting results, sourcing of club uniform, registration of swimmers with Swimming Victoria, collection of payment for annual membership, representing the club at Metro North and Swimming Victoria meetings when required, and general club operations such as equipment.
All positions are declared vacant at the AGM and committee members are appointed at the start of the membership year. To be eligible to nominate for any positions on the committee, you must be 18 years or over, be a financial member of the club and must be registered with Swimming Victoria. Existing committee members can also re-nominate for their positions if they so desire. The committee meets once a month during the swimming year but this can alter if circumstances require extra meetings (e.g. organising major fund raising events or club championships).
