Northcote Swim Club Welcome
100 years of swimming history
Northcote Swim Club (NTC) is a community based club, providing coaching and training programs for swimmers of all abilities in the Darebin area.
Our focus is to provide a positive environment to develop the skills, strength and fitness of our swimmers and provide pathways toward competitive swimming. NTC has training programs tailored to meet the development needs of swimmers of varying abilities and welcomes swimmers with a disability who are interested in joining our club.
NTC was established in the 1920s by an enthusiastic Northcote community and held its first swimming activities at Northcote Bath. The Northcote Bath closed in 1969 and got replaced with a new pool at Victoria Road. The Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre is currently undergoing major redevelopment works and we are excited to be moving back in a state of the art training facility in 2023. Check out the new plans, design and progress here.
Northcote Swim Club is registered with Swimming Victoria, the governing body for swimming in Victoria. All members of Northcote Swim Club, including coaches, officials and swimmers are registered members of Swimming Victoria. Annual memberships run from 1st July to 30th June each financial year.
All swimmers are required to be a member of the Northcote Swim Club in order to train with our squads. Our program is structured around the age group and ability of our members, ensuring that every swimmer is familiar with the appropriate training loads and skill acquisition progressions for their age and ability.
All training sessions are conducted by skilled accredited swimming coaches.
